Shiraz Black has enjoyed a glittering Dressage career in the short time that he has been competing.  His first highlight was a win at the prestigious 2007 Queensland Young Horse Championships which were run in conjunction with the Brisbane CDI at Toowoomba.

The EI outbreak meant that he did not compete in the latter part of 2007 but was in fine form as he took part in the 2008 qualification events leading up to the Australian Young Dressage Horse Championships at Dressage with the Stars.  He impressed the highly experienced panel of judges and in particular the riding judge Christof Koschel who commented on his outstanding canter.

In 2009, Shiraz Black was the Champion of Champions at Dressage With The Stars.
